Dr. Peter Pikkert has spent much of his adult life in the Middle East working as a Bible teacher, translator and writer. He speaks Arabic, Turkish, Dutch and English.

He has studied Prairie Bible Institute and at the Universities of Jordan, Istanbul, Syracuse and South Africa. He has post-graduate degrees in Social Science and Theology. He now teaches theology, missiology and Bible at Cornerstone Bible College for Mission Training, in The Netherlands.

His previous books include several novels, descriptive grammars of Kurdish and Turkish, The Fall of Christendom and the Rise of the Church, and Protestant Missionaries to the Middle East: Ambassadors of Christ or Culture?

He is married to Anna, and they have two children, Owen and Rita..
